Chinese Dress Code

World famous novelist Virginia Woolf used to describe that clothes ‘wear us’ because they ‘mould our hearts, our brains, our tongues to their liking.’

While the statement might be applied nowadays, it may indeed best portray an ancient dress code of
Confucius Chinese people who used to dress up for nourishment of a relational wisdom and spirit of righteousness and thankfulness.

This is one of the many Chinese dress codes through which people from diverse ethnic backgrounds also bonded together into one civilization since Han dynasty.

To look back, the styles of traditional Chinese clothes had been revamped, enriched, conserved and modernized, and the clothes became a work of art. Nowadays, it should be a lot of fun to pay tribute to this collective tradition and to wear the work of art.
